These terms govern your use of SCORM Builder ("the app"), provided by lost end found Ltd ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Last updated 21 October 2026. ## 1. What the app is SCORM Builder is a Mac application for writing e-learning courses and exporting them as SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 4th edition packages for a learning management system. It can open a course exported from Articulate Rise 360 and turn it into a course you edit in the app. It runs on your Mac; it has no accounts and no server component. ## 2. Subscription and trial The app is sold as a subscription per author, monthly or yearly, either through the Mac App Store or directly from us through our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy. A subscription bought in one of these places does not carry over to the other. The direct download comes with a free trial of 7 days, during which every feature works. When the trial ends the app asks you to subscribe; the courses you made stay yours and stay on your Mac. A subscription renews until you cancel it. Cancel a direct subscription from the link in your receipt or by writing to us; cancel a Mac App Store subscription in your Apple account. Cancelling stops the next renewal and does not refund the current period, except where the law or Apple's terms say otherwise. If you bought directly from us within the last 14 days and have not used the app beyond the trial, write to us for a refund. Prices are shown on the website and may change; a change applies from your next renewal and we tell you before it does. ## 3. Your courses and your packages The courses you write and the packages you export are yours. We claim no rights in them. You are responsible for the content you put in them, for having the rights to any text, pictures, audio, video and fonts you use, and for what you upload to a learning management system. Fonts you choose from Google Fonts are downloaded into your course under their own licences (most under the SIL Open Font License), and the licence text travels with the package. Those licences, not these terms, govern the fonts. ## 4. What you may not do - Share a licence key, or use one copy of the app for more authors than you have subscriptions for. - Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, or remove its licence check. - Redistribute or resell the app. - Use the app to break the law or to infringe someone else's rights. ## 5. Our rights The app, its player and its design are owned by lost end found Ltd and protected by copyright and other intellectual property law. The player that ships inside your exported packages is licensed to you for use in those packages, for as long as you like, including after your subscription ends. Articulate and Rise 360 are trademarks of Articulate Global, LLC. SCORM Builder is not affiliated with or endorsed by Articulate. SCORM is a trademark of Advanced Distributed Learning. ## 6. Privacy Our [privacy policy](https://scorm-builder.com/privacy) says what the app stores and sends. In short: your courses stay on your Mac, and the app only makes a network request when you choose a Google font or activate a direct licence. ## 7. No warranty The app is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. In particular we do not promise that every learning management system will accept every package, that a Rise 360 export will import completely, or that the app is free of errors. We tell you in the app when an export leaves blocks out, and we fix what we can. ## 8. Limitation of liability To the fullest extent the law allows, lost end found Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, or for any amount above what you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. ## 9. Mac App Store If you got the app from the Mac App Store, these terms are between you and lost end found Ltd, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app, is not responsible for any claim relating to it, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them against you. Apple's own terms apply to the purchase. ## 10. Changes and discontinuation We may change the app and these terms. A change to the terms takes effect when it is posted here; the date at the top changes with it, and your continued use after that is acceptance. If we discontinue the app, the version you have keeps working on your Mac, and so do the packages you exported. ## 11. Governing law These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes under them go to the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection you have where you live.
