Your courses stay on your Mac.

SCORM Builder is a Mac app with no accounts and no analytics. This page says what the app stores, what it sends over the network and when, and what the website does. Last updated 21 October 2026.

What the app stores

A course is a document on your Mac: a folder with a course.json file and your pictures, audio, video and fonts in an assets folder. You choose where it is saved. The app also keeps a small list of recently opened courses, your editor preferences (the layout and the last lesson you had open, inside the course folder) and the position of its windows. None of this leaves your Mac unless you move it yourself.

A Rise 360 export you open is read on your Mac and turned into a course document. Nothing from it is uploaded.

An exported package holds our player, your course and your files. It contains nothing that identifies you or your Mac, and it makes no network requests when a learner opens it in an LMS.

What the app sends, and when

The app makes a network request only when you ask it to do one of these things.

  • Choosing a Google font. When you pick a Google family for a course, the app downloads the font files and the licence text from Google (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) and from the Google Fonts repository on GitHub, and keeps them inside the course. The request carries the font's name, nothing else. Google's handling of that request is covered by Google's privacy policy. System fonts need no request.
  • Activating a licence (direct download only). If you bought SCORM Builder from us rather than the Mac App Store, the app sends your licence key and an identifier for its own installation to Lemon Squeezy (api.lemonsqueezy.com), our payment and licensing provider, to activate the key, and again at most once a day to check it is still valid. Lemon Squeezy's handling of your purchase, your email address and your payment details is covered by Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy. We see the name and email address you gave at checkout, so that we can issue invoices and answer support requests.
  • Subscribing on the Mac App Store. Apple handles the payment and the subscription. We receive no personal details from Apple about you.
  • Links you open. A link in the app's menus, such as this website, opens in your browser like any other link.

That is the full list. The app has no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no third-party SDKs, and it never sends your course content anywhere.

What we keep

If you buy directly from us, Lemon Squeezy keeps the purchase record and we keep the licence key, the name and the email address from that purchase for as long as the subscription exists and for the period afterwards that tax law requires us to keep invoices. If you write to us, we keep the correspondence for as long as it is useful to help you. We do not sell or share this information.

If you subscribe through the Mac App Store, we keep nothing about you.

Deleting your data

Delete a course by deleting its folder. Delete the app's preferences and recent list by deleting the app, or the folder ~/Library/Containers/com.lostendfound.scormbuilder. To have us delete the purchase details we hold, write to the address below; Lemon Squeezy and Apple have their own processes for the records they hold.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office or your local supervisory authority. Write to us first and we will answer within a month.

Children

SCORM Builder is a professional tool and is not directed at children. Because the app collects nothing, it collects nothing from anyone.

This website

scorm-builder.com is a static site. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The fonts load from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google when the page loads; see Google's privacy policy for how Google handles that request.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change that affects what the app sends will also be described in the app's release notes.
